I enjoyed reading your blog on the Buckeye Book Fair. As a resident of Ohio and a high school librarian, I have attended a few times. You mentioned never having heard of Louis Bromfield. How about a book on Ohio authors (to name a few others who either live in or have lived in Ohio: Virginia Hamilton, R. L. Stine, Karen Harper, Zane Grey) similar to A Journey Through Literary America? Other states, too, have many authors worthy of books. I can see this becoming a series…..

Dear Margaret,
Thank you so much. We were happy, even eager to host the party for this magnificent book. My wife, Theil, Tamra’s good friend, and Jacob Morgan’s mother, is responsible for it all. Only the books are mine, and not all of those.
A Journey Through Literary America is not only a gorgeous book, but deeply profound in its concept and execution. Tom’s writing is informed by a heart-felt and deeply respectful intellect, and Tamra’s photos are similarly informed, and utterly beautiful.
I am very proud.
